How to apply
Housing Application Form
All you need to do is ask for a Housing Application Form and an Area and Property Guide. You can download these, telephone for a copy or call in person to one of our Property Shops.
Property and Area Guides
There are 4 different 'Area & Property Guides' covering Ashfield. The guides tell you which properties we have on each street, how many bedrooms, what type of property and which properties are age restricted. By ticking the right boxes in the guides, you can tell us which areas or streets you would like to live in. Complete the forms and return them to us.
What happens next?Your housing application will be registered and you will receive a letter telling you how many points you have been awarded.
How we then let the empty homes is determined for us by the Council's Lettings Scheme. We advertise some of our empty homes on this site as well as in a magazine called 'Your Future in Our Homes', which is sent to you twice a year once you are registered.
We aim to deliver a quality service to all our customers on the waiting list. Our housing register service standard tells you more.
Every year your housing application is reviewed to ensure there has been no change in your circumstances and all your information is still correct. We send a review letter to all applicants on the waiting list which must be returned to ensure you remain on the waiting list. Click below for more info.
