How we will consult with you

Where significant works are proposed for your home, we will invite you to an Open Day, held locally to you, before any work starts, giving you the chance to meet us and also ask any questions you may have. You will also be able to see the product ranges we offer and be able to make your own personal choices where options are provided.    

 

We will also provide you with relevant leaflets and literature, as well as visit you in your home before work starts so that you are fully prepared and have all the information you need.

 

We will also ask you to let us know if you have any special needs or special circumstances that you feel we ought to know about which will help us carry out the works in your home with minimum fuss and inconvenience.    

 

On completion of the works, we will send you a tenant satisfaction questionnaire which asks you ten questions about the whole improvement process. This information is used to identify specific areas for improvement so that we can continually better our service to you.   

 

In addition to this, we attend various Tenants and Residents meetings to allow you to give us your thoughts, opinions and suggestions on the service we provide.

 

We also produced a Major Works Compact which sets out in detail our commitment to you, and provides very useful information about the major works and how tenants and residents will be affected.  

 

The compact was written in full consultation with tenants and residents groups and is reviewed periodically by a Compact Advisory Panel made up of Ashfield Homes/Ashfield District Council, our Construction Partner(s) and Tenant Representatives.

 

The development and review of the Major Works Compact was facillitated by an independant Tenants Advisory Consultancy.
