Our responsibilities
Ashfield Homes has a duty to maintain and repair:
- The structure and outside of your home.
- The fittings inside that we have fitted, including the water supply, sanitary fittings, gas, and electricity, and heating appliances.
Any repair that is completed at your home will be categorised into one of seven (7) priorities, dependant upon the type of repair you have requested. The repair categories range from emergencies where there could be a danger to life, to non-urgent repairs like cleaning your guttering. In certain circumstances, if repairs are needed to your home as a result of your own negligence or damage then we may carry these repairs out but then recharge you for the cost of doing so. If this occurs we will always notify you of what is happning and give you the opportunity to discuss the situation with us.
We always try to work flexibly with our customers and in some circumstances, usually for older people or people with disabilities, we may come to see you sooner. Please advise us of any circumstances you consider we should be aware of in order for us to offer you a service suitable to meet your needs.
