About the Neighbourhood Wardens serviceThe Ashfield Neighbourhood Wardens are in your neighbourhood, helping to improve the quality of life for residents, reduce crime and the fear of crime, build confidence in the community, and to help local businesses thrive in the Ashfield District. There are 4 teams of Wardens that patrol the Ashfield District.
They respond to calls on a priority basis. They will make every effort to attend each report; however, they are not a rapid response unit.
We need your help to give us details of incidents in order for us to prioritise our patrols.
How they serve your neighbourhoodThey are not a replacement for the Police – they work in partnership with the Police. Any criminal activity should be reported to the Police. They do not have powers of arrest, but do help by:
The wardens provide a highly visible presence, providing valuable reassurance to residents, acting as the eyes and ears of the community. They report on issues that effect the appearance of your neighbourhood such as:-
