Ashfield District Council administers a Contents Insurance Scheme for council tenants; premiums are charged weekly through your rent account.

The amount of contents insurance you pay each week depends on how much cover you need.  The table below shows the current weekly premium that you would pay with the relevant level of cover:

 * Only available to tenants aged 60 and over

It is important to remember that your insurance is only valid if your premiums are up to date, therefore you must aviod arrears on your account. If you do not bring your insurance payments up to date following reminders from Ashfield Homes, we will consider cancelling your unsurance policy.
