Contents insurance

Making sure you have adequate insurance can be very important.  Click here for more information about household and accidental damage insurance.

 

Ashfield District Council administers a Contents Insurance Scheme for council tenants; premiums are charged weekly through your rent account.

 

The amount of contents insurance you pay each week depends on how much cover you need.  The table below shows the current weekly premium that you would pay with the relevant level of cover

It is important to remember that your insurance is only valid if your premiums are up to date, therefore you must aviod arrears on your account. If you do not bring your insurance payments up to date following reminders from Ashfield Homes, we will consider cancelling your insurance policy.

 

You can pick up a leaflet about the insurance policy from Ashfield District Council or alternativley fill in the form below and we will send you out full details with an appIication form.

 

Your insurance cover begins on the day you are notified that your application has been accepted.
