Money advice
Most people experience money difficulties at some point in their lives. It may be as a result of a change in personal circumstances, not receiving the correct benefits, or as a consequence of multiple debts. This may mean that you are unable to pay your rent, which leads to rent arrears and possible court action against you.
Money Management Advice ServiceAshfield Homes’ Money Management Advise Service is a flexible, free service which provides comprehensive Money Management and Welfare benefits advice to help you maintain your tenancy and maximise your income. The aim of our service is to help you understand your finances and manage your money effectively.
Make an appointmentIf you are experiencing money difficulties, make an appointment to see our Money Management Advisor. We will take your income and expenditure details into account so that we can work out with you a realistic repayment plan based on what you can afford to pay after your essential living costs have been met. We can also help with a benefit check to ensure you are receiving all of the benefits you are entitled to, to help maximise your income. We can advise on debts - from credit cards, loans and hire purchase, to council tax and utility bills, and tell you about trust funds, grants and allowances you could be entitled to from the goverment, charities and private organisations. The Money Management Advisor will consider your personal circumstances and individual needs. She will advise you of, and help you apply for all the benefits, trust funds and grants you are entitled to.
Drop-in sessionsTo find out how we can help you, please contact Jane Woodward, Money Management Advisor on (01623) 608910 or call in to one of our money management drop-in sessions – no appointment needed.
