FAQ
What happens if I leave my property owing rent?

We will contact you to negotiate a suitable repayment plan. If you do not pay we will refer the case to a Debt Collection Agency who will write to you and visit you to collect the arrears. If this is unsuccessful, we will consider legal action to recover the debt.

If you wish to re-join the Housing Register and apply for Council housing in Ashfield, you will not normally be concidered for any offers of accommodation until you have demonstrated a commitment to paying off this debt.
