I am in debt and having difficulty paying my rent, can you help me?

If you are experiencing money problems, contact our Money Management Advisor on 01623 608910, who will be able to help. The Money Management Advice Service is a flexible, free service providing quality management and welfare benefit advice to Ashfield District Council tenants with the aim of helping you to sort out your money matters, maximise your income and maintain your tenancy.

 

This will include:

- Reaching affordable agreements to pay rent arrears;

- Helping you understand Ashfield Homes rent arrears recovery procedures;

- Providing budgeting advice and tips on how to manage your money effectively;

- Advising on debts from credit cards, loans and hire purchase, to Council Tax and utility bills;

- Helping you choose payment methods such as Direct Debit;

- Providing welfare benefit advice;

- Helping you recieve advice from Citizens Advice Bureau and other organisations who can give specialist help.
